Venturing Tofino
Tonquin Beach, Tofino, British Columbia
In February 2025, I embarked on Vancouver Island to spend a couple of days on the west coast of Vancouver Island. We embarked on the small town of Tofino, filled with wild scenery, surrounded by ancient rainforests and beautiful beaches. A crew and I embarked on an adventure during the off-season where the misty rain and vibrant greens created a mood like Twin Peaks meets Into the Wild. We also managed to avoid a shake 5.2 earthquake on the ride home.
Now I know why it’s called “Tough City” for a reason.

Tofino is a magical place and a great way to meditate while hearing the sounds of water and raindrops. It’s Canada’s most underrated paradise thanks to its coastal vibes. Tofino makes me very grateful to live close to one of the most beautiful settings in the world, something like in the film “The New World” directed by Terrence Malick. Because a crew of four needed to get some work done, we were able to stay in one of the most beautiful cabins called The Shoreline.
Exterior design of the Shoreline Suites (1-4)
The Shoreline is located close to the town where it gives off the most incredible cabin vibes like in the movies (The Big Chill for example). It gives off a rich natural landscape surrounds the property which consists of an A-frame house and two A-frame cabins. A big reason why we wanted to come here is to live the cabin experience. After travelling back in September 2024, I realized luxury resorts aren’t for me. Maybe it’s because I’d rather connect with people than be served by them.

3 REASONS TO STAY AT THE SHORELINE
Location: The cabin suites are just a short walk from Tofino’s town center, where you’ll find incredible local galleries, shops, and restaurants. Plus, stunning beaches like Chesterman and Cox Bay are only minutes away, perfect for surfing or a peaceful stroll.
View: It was incredible to just wake up to breathtaking waterfront views. The cabin suites immerse you in the ambience of nature, with the gentle tide rolling in, boats drifting across the water every morning, and the soothing sound of raindrops on the roof.
Atmosphere: The peaceful moments in between photography and personal life helped me stay present, fully immersed in the experience. That’s what the Shoreline has to offer. The little quiet moments just to relax right by the water.
Venturing Tofino felt like a whole month. That’s what the team and I talked about before heading back from the island. Tofino was a beautiful getaway to feel present and know that there are things not to worry about. I can’t wait to be back here shortly. Special thanks to the crew for joining me on a quiet, yet peaceful adventure. For all the photos of the property, you can click this link here:
